My Background
I've always loved nature, wildflowers in particular (who doesn't?). In 4th grade, instead of homework, we were required to collect, press and save examples of the wildflowers in our neighborhood!
My career began as a teacher and then a fund raiser for universities. Following that and for the next nearly 30 years, I worked in environment
I've always loved nature, wildflowers in particular (who doesn't?). In 4th grade, instead of homework, we were required to collect, press and save examples of the wildflowers in our neighborhood!
My career began as a teacher and then a fund raiser for universities. Following that and for the next nearly 30 years, I worked in environmental protection and land conservation. Here I found my career and passion for nature come together. I began my pursuit of art as an adjunct to this. Now retired, I have continued to do art and sewing, along with hiking and native plant gardening, with enthusiasm.

From realistic paintings, to more abstract works, through practical and colorful hand sewn items, I use a wide variety of mediums: oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, mixed media collage and various fabrics.

Living on the San Francisco Peninsula allows me to hike in fabulous parks and open spaces with world-class biodiversity. Thanks to the broad community that supports nature preservation, we have thousands of acres of open meadows, forests. vistas, ocean bluffs and beaches available to everyone. AND I love flowers!!! Although my art work
